Rode NT-1 -> Native Instruments Komplete Audio 2 -> Reaper (using ASIO drivers) -> OBS (via ReaStream plugin) -> VB-audio virtual audio cable -> Discord. I'm hoping this translates to my original chain but haven't had a chance to test yet. I also tried syncing everything in voicemeeter/my interface to 44.1 Khz which didn't help, however when I tried syncing everything to 48Khz, that seemed to be the magic bullet at least for voicemeeter. I unfortunately don't know how to address that problem though so any help or clarification there would be great.Įdit: messed around with voice meeter banana, initially I was using a sample rate of 96Khz. Following the first video solve this.įrom some more research it seems like the issue might lie in clock speed differences between my devices/software and the VAC. I did try following the second video entirely at first, but that resulted in Reaper sending audio to OBS PRE effects and any reverb or compression I wanted to add in Reaper was not being sent to OBS.

I created a test discord account so I could hear it myself, can confirm, crackle city. This is where my setup stops working as according to my discord friends the audio coming through is crackling very badly.

I then used the tail end of this video (from 8:17 on) - to send the ReaStream audio as well as my desktop audio from OBS to Discord via a Virtual Audio Cable. Recording in OBS results in a clean sounding video file. I'd like a setup that allows me to send music as well as my voice over discord so I can sing along with my background vocals for discord Karaoke.ĭid some googling and found this video - which I used to get audio from Reaper into OBS via the ReaStream plugin.
